Five Teams Announce Class of 2016
NORTH ANDOVER, MA – Merrimack athletics has announced the
signing classes for men’s basketball, women’s
basketball, volleyball, men’s lacrosse and women’s
soccer.
Merrimack’s 22 intercollegiate sporting teams consist of
players from 21 different states within the United States and 12
countries from around the globe.
Merrimack’s Athletic Department posted a grade-point average
of 3.08 during the spring semester, improving for the fifth
straight semester.
Of Merrimack’s 22 intercollegiate programs, a record 18 programs recorded a team GPA of over 3.0, including all 12 women’s programs. 149 student-athletes, roughly 31% of all student-athletes, posted a 3.5 or higher in the spring, compared to 116 (24%) in the fall.
