Merrimack Hosts Successful New Student Orientation on June 25 & 27

NORTH ANDOVER, MA - On June 25 and 27, over 600 Merrimack College first-year students and their parents were welcomed to Merrimack's campus and got a taste of what it means to be a Warrior.

With various pit stops throughout the day, new students experienced a day in the life of a Merrimack student from beginning to end.  A full schedule can be found at the school's website

ALSO: There was a special presentation by the Athletics Department at the Volpe Athletic Center.  Students got to make some noise and learn what it takes to be a Warrior! New students visited the athletics complex at 3 p.m. on June 25 and 27.

On average, 600 students attended home Merrimack hockey games last year, creating one of the best home ice advantages in Hockey East.

In addition to joining Merrimack Athletics as of Summer 2011, Club Sports has also developed a 'Spirit Squad' that incorporates Dance, Cheer, Pep Band, the mascot and other spirit groups.  For more information on each group, visit their individual pages by clicking the link for the respective sport above.
