Boston, MA/Kingston, RI.—The Merrimack Men's Track and Field Team took part in the BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational this past Saturday, along with the URI Coaches Invitational on Sunday.
BU Valentine Invitational
Cory Couture finished 11
th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 21.65 seconds, which was second quickest in the conference.
Sean Glass ran a time of 7.1 seconds in the 60 meter dash finishing in the 12
th position. Sean also finished in 12
th place in the 200 meter dash, as he notched a time of 21.65 which beat his personal best from the previous weekend.
Neil Letellier ran 4:13.80 in the mile, the 3rd best time in the event in Merrimack history and 6th in the NEC.
Mark Sten became 5th fastest in the 400m list with his time 49.09 seconds.
Jadis Yarbrough ran a new personal best of 50.54 in the 400 meter final.
Freshman
Owen Schultz ran a new personal best in the 800 meter final running a 1:56.72.
URI Coaches Invitational
John Elie Jr. finished third in the 60 meter hurdle event with a time of 8.29 seconds.
Colin Rahaman finished fifth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 52.37 seconds,
Carson Mighty finished seventh in the same event with a mark of 53.45 seconds.
Aidan Dupill ran a time of 8:56.99 in the 3K final.
Maxim Lussier placed second in the pole vault final with height of 14' 11.25".
Max Bothwell finished ninth with a height of 13' 11.25".
Tucker Carroll finished sixth in the Long Jump, with a mark of 20' 9.5 feet,
Blake Wadley finished just behind in seventh with a mark of 20' 5.75",
Brian Gallagher placed in ninth with a jump of 19' 11" feet.
Clayton Rahaman had a jump of 19' 9.75".
Jared Ptaszek finished seventh in the weight throw final, with a throw of 53' 5.25" (16.29m) good enough for 2
nd all time in school history and fourth best overall in the NEC.
Brady Trask finished ninth in the triple jump, with a mark of 41' 10".
Kyle Adams placed in 10
th in the shot put with a throw of 44' 3".

Merrimack will compete in the NEC Indoor Championships hosted at the Ocean Breeze Facility in Staten Island on February 18
th and 19
th.
