Sophomore Cailin Currie of the Merrimack College women's swim program had a stellar meet against Wellesley Saturday, helping her earn Fuddruckers Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career.Â
After steadily climbing the course of this season, Currie saw top-three finishes in meets at both Brandeis and Simmons. In this past Saturday's meet, which doubled as the first-ever senior day meet for the program, Currie finished first in the 1,000 yard freestyle with seven seconds to spare, finishing with a time of 11:20.97. She also finished second in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:35.34.Â
The Warriors are back in the pool for the NE10Â Championships, which kick off February 7th at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.Â
