After leading the Warriors with nine points over two games, senior attack Amber Feminella of the Merrimack College women's lacrosse team has been named Fuddruckers Women's Athlete of the Week.
Seven of those nine points came during Merrimack's dominant 18-6 victory over Southern Connecticut in Saturday's NE10Â opener. Feminella finished with six goals and an assist as part of that outing; even more impressively, the senior scored on six of her 11 shot attempts and put 10 of those 11 attempts on net. She had seven goals on 14 shots altogether last week while dishing two assists; she also went 3-for-5 on free position attempts, had a draw control and three ground balls, as well.
On the year, Feminella is Merrimack's lead scorer with 15 points (12g, 3a) while boasting a shooting percentage of 46.2%. She has five ground balls, two caused turnovers and 12 draw controls through four games, as well.
Feminella and the rest of the Warriors return to action against No. 11 Pace on Saturday at Duane Stadium (1 p.m.).
