In the first collegiate outdoor meet of her career, freshman pole vaulter Sarah Wilson set the stakes high for her 2019 campaign with an outstanding performance at the BSU Bears Invitational this past Saturday. Her record-setting performance helped her earn Fuddrucker's Athlete of the Week.
Wilson dominated in the pole vault Saturday, winning with a height of 2.75 meters. Impressive enough, the freshman not only put her name third on the Merrimack record list, but broke the meet record of 2.59 meters - a record that stood for eight years.Â
Wilson and the Warriors return to action this Saturday, March 30, traveling to Smithfield, Rhode Island, for the all-day Bryant Invitational.Â
