Matthew Ronai enjoyed a milestone moment, becoming the sixth player in Merrimack baseball history to record 200 career hits as part of a superb four-game effort for the senior captain, and as a result has been named this week's Fuddruckers Male Athlete of the Week award winner.

Ronai enjoyed a 7-for-15 day and recorded at least one hit in every game as part of the Warriors' 3-1 week that featured important divisional wins over Saint Michael's and Assumption. Ronai reached the 200-hit barrier yesterday against the Purple Knights as part of a three-hit two-RBI performance that helped the Warriors to a 6-0 series-clinching victory over the Purple Knights. The right fielder scored six runs, knocked in three more and posted a pair of multi-hit games during the week.

On the season, Ronai has pushed past the 100 career RBI, 100 career runs scored and 200 career hit markers through 34 games. The utility player began the season as the team's primary DH before stepping into the team's starting right fielder role. He leads Merrimack and ranks fourth in the NE10 with 12 doubles, moving into fourth in school history with 44 career two-baggers.

Ronai and the Warriors begin the penultimate week of the regular season with a one-game lead in the Northeast Division, and face a five-game ledger that sees the Warriors face Bentley and Saint Anselm in single games before hosting Franklin Pierce University for a three-game set at Haverhill Stadium. The Warriors celebrate Senior Day against the Ravens on Sunday at 12 p.m.
