Freshman Cassie Restrepo (Miami, Fla.) of the Merrimack College women's tennis team has been named this week's Fuddruckers Female Athlete of the Week.

Restrepo played in her first-ever Intercollegiate Tennis Association East Regional Championships over the weekend, and debuted excellently with six total victories to lead the Warriors. She emerged out of the singles qualifying bracket to reach the main draw, and secured a first-round upset of Post University in straight sets to reach the Round of 32. In the doubles venue, Restrepo went the furthest of any Warriors pairing, reaching the quarterfinals as an unseeded unit. The first-year student-athlete upset Concordia in the Round of 16 by erasing a 4-1 deficit to win, 9-7. 

Restrepo and the rest of the Warriors return to action on Wednesday afternoon when the Navy and Gold head to Worcester to face Assumption.
