After her heroics in all three playoff games helped the Merrimack College women's lacrosse program fight its way to its first-ever Northeast-10 Conference championship, senior Amber Feminella has been named Fuddruckers Female Athlete of the Week.

The senior attack and all-conference selection started her postseason with six goals last Wednesday in the quarterfinal round of the league tournament to help the Warriors stage a major upset as the No. 7 seed over second-seeded Adelphi University. She would then add another five points (3g, 2a) in Merrimack's semifinal victory against sixth-seeded New Haven before finishing her season -- and career -- with two more goals against top-seeded and defending national champion Le Moyne to help the Warriors win it all. Even more fittingly, her second goal in the title game was the game-winner, and it was also the goal that gave her the all-time career scoring record at Merrimack.

Feminella wrapped up her incredible career with a school-record 266 points on 207 goals (2nd all-time) and 59 assists. She had 80 points as a senior following a school-record 91-point campaign last spring and will graduate as a three-time all-conference selection with hopefully more accolades to come over the course of the month.
