After his offensive fireworks propelled the Merrimack College men's lacrosse team to a pair of postseason wins on the road, sophomore attack Sean Black has been named Fuddruckers Male Athlete of the Week.

The sophomore led all Warriors with 14 points over the course of two games, with eight of them coming in Merrimack's blowout win at Mercyhurst last Wednesday before finishing the weekend with a six-point game (2g, 4a) in the Warriors' 14-12 win over No. 3 Adelphi. He had eight assists against Mercyhurst, tying his single-game career-high. 

Black continues represent the nation's top play-makers with 67 assists and 97 total points, one shy of his rookie year total. He averages nearly four assists per game -- the most in the country by a single player -- while averaging 5.71 points per game altogether, second only to junior Charlie Bertrand. The sophomore also has 30 ground balls to date.

Black and the rest of the Warriors head to top-seeded Le Moyne for the national semifinals this Saturday (May 18) at noon.
