After a phenomenal charge up the leader board over the final two days of the super regional round, senior Krystal Knight of the Merrimack College women's golf program has been named Fuddruckers Female Athlete of the Week.

After shooting an eight-over 80 in the opening round, Knight put together an incredible charge over the final two rounds of the super regional last week to qualify for nationals. She finished the three-day tournament tied for ninth with a second-day two-over 74 and a final ledger of one-over 73 to punch her ticket to Palm Beach Gardens.

Knight has been one of the biggest factors on the course this year while orchestrating arguably the best season by a golfer in school history. She ranks 11^th in all of Division II in scoring average (73.45) and boasts seven event victories and 10 top-10 finishes to date. The Groveland, Massachusetts, native become the second Warrior ever to repeat as an NE10 individual champion after carding a one-over 143 to help Merrimack claim the conference crown for the fourth time in five years.

Knight will round out her historic season and career at the 2019 NCAA Division II Women's Championship beginning on Tuesday (April 14). The three-day individual championship concludes on Thursday at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
