After leading women’s soccer to their first-ever NEC victory, forward Izzy McDonnell has been named this week’s Fuddruckers Female Athlete of the Week.
 
Junior Izzy McDonnell (Fall River, Mass./ B.M.C. Durfee) gave Merrimack its first ever NEC win with a goal in the 89^th minute in a tough road game at St. Francis Brooklyn on Friday. With the goal, McDonnell has taken the team lead in goals with three.
 
Merrimack returns to action on Sunday, Oct. 20, hosting Central Connecticut State for another NEC match, with kickoff at noon.
