Declan Carlile has been named this week's Fuddruckers Male Athlete of the Week after a Hockey East Co-Defensive Player of the Week honor thanks to a two-assist night against UConn. 

The honor is the first of Carlile's career after he had a dominant performance in Hartford. He notched a pair of assists and earned a plus-4 rating on the ice, as the Warriors cruised to a 6-2 victory over the Huskies.

The Hartland, Mich. native now leads the Warriors in assists with 11 and is tied for second on the team in points with 13. His point total is also tied for fourth in the country among freshman defensemen.

Carlile and the Warriors return to game action Friday night when Boston University pays a visit to Lawler Rink. Puck drop is set for 7 pm. Merrimack completes the weekend Saturday evening when they take on UMass Lowell at 6 pm at Tsongas Center.
