Senior Julia Dempsey of the Merrimack College women's cross country program has been named the Dunkin' Athlete of the Week after she claimed All-Conference honors at the 2021 NEC Championship over the weekend in Plainville, Mass. 

She finished fourth in the 58-runner field when she crossed the line in 18:02.4 on the 5K course, which also marked a new collegiate best time. Her run was crucial in the Warriors' fourth place finish in the team standings.
