Rodney Samson of the Merrimack football team was named the Dunkin' Athlete of the Week after he had a dominant defensive outing Saturday in the Warriors' win over Wagner on Staten Island. 

He set a new single game career-high with 23 tackles, including 14 solo tackles and two for a loss. Samson was just one tackle away from tying the all-time single game school record at Merrimack of 24, which was set in 2004.
