Men's ice hockey senior Brett Seney (London, Ontario) has been named Fuddruckers Male Athlete of the Week for the first time this season after a two-goal outing in an upset win of defending national champion Denver.

Seney broke a 1-1 tie with a pair of goals midway through the third period – with his second tally accounting for his 100th career point – to lift the Warriors to a 3-2 upset victory over second-ranked and defending national champion Denver on Friday night at Magness Arena.

Seney became the 24th player in the program's Division I history to reach 100 career points and the first to do so since Mike Collins '14. He is now tied for the team lead with 17 points on the year (6g, 11a).

Merrimack opens the 2018 portion of its schedule with a two-game road trip next weekend, as the Warriors travel to UConn and Providence Jan. 5-6 for 7 p.m. tilts.
