Senior forward Brett Seney of the Merrimack College men's ice hockey team has been named this week's Fuddruckers Male Athlete of the Week for the second time this season.
Seney, who was named to the Hockey East Weekly Honor Roll, lit the lamp twice to help Merrimack rally from two down against visiting Boston University on Friday night. While the Terriers eventually got the win, Seney continued his dominance over the Terriers, as he now has six career tallies all-time against BU, the most by any player on the roster.
The senior and London, Ontario, native recorded his sixth career two-goal game and fourth this year on Friday as well, tying a career-high; his last such performance came in a 3-2 win at defending national champion Denver on Dec. 29, 2017.
Seney and the rest of the Warriors will return home for a two-game weekend at Lawler Rink to take on the University of Vermont in Hockey East action this Friday and Saturday (Jan. 26-27). Puck drop each night is 7 p.m.
