Senior Megan Cook of the Merrimack College softball team went 2-1 over the week and is this week's Fuddruckers Female Athlete of the Week.
Through four games this week, Cook went 2-1 in the circle, along with picking up a save. She pitched a pair of complete games against Adelphi and Pace this weekend, helping the Warriors go 3-1. In the first game against the Panthers Saturday, she went seven full innings during a 2-0 win. She had eight strikeouts. In the second game against Adelphi, she came in relief to pick up her team-leading fourth save of the year.
On Sunday, she pitched a complete game during a 5-1 win against Pace. Offensively, she went 7-for-15 at the dish in five games during the week.Â
On the year, Cook has a 12-2 record in the circle, and four saves. She has a 1,26 ERA and 89 strikeouts, compared to 27 walks. She is also batting .422 and is second on the team in hitting.Â
Cook and the rest of the Warriors return to action on Wednesday with two games at Stonehill College, beginning at 3 p.m.Â
