Senior Megan Cook of the Merrimack College softball team was named this week's Fuddruckers Female Athlete of the Week, after helping the Warriors go 3-2 this week and also setting the new single-season strikeout record. 

Cook had four starts and five appearances in the circle, going 3-1. She had 30 strikeouts through the week,and allowed just three runs in five games. During the season-finale against Franklin Pierce, Cook struck out her 163rd batter of the season and now sits on top of the programs' single-season strike out list. 

Cook and the Warriors will host Assumption Tuesday for the NE10 First Round game at Martone-Mejail Field at 3 p.m.
