After missing the first game of the 2018 season with an injury, sophomore Filippo Begliardi Ghidini of the men's soccer team netted an overtime goal to help the men's soccer team improve to 3-0 on the season. Per his determination and game-changing ability, he has been named the second male Fuddrucker's Player of the Week in the 2018-2019 calendar year.
Ghidini, who did not play against Caldwell in the season opener, and was limited on minutes in game two's win against Molloy. This past Saturday against Post, the sophomore was on the pitch for 70 minutes, blasting two shots on net and scoring his first goal of the season. Merrimack's 3-0 start has them currently ranked 6th in the United Coaches' Poll,
Ghidini and the men's soccer team are back in action this Saturday, hosting New Haven for a 7 p.m. start time.Â
