Samuel Weeks enters his fifth season as throws coach at Merrimack College for the 2021-22 season.
During his time at Merrimack, Weeks has helped guide the throwers to all but one school record on both the men and women’s team. He guided Kevin Russo to a NE-10 Championship in the Javelin throw in 2019 and guided javelin thrower Alana Johnson to winning Merrimack’s Rookie of the Year award in 2021 as she re-set the program record books.
Weeks was a member of the Worcester State track & field team where he became a Division III All-American in the discus throw. He also competed on the national stage in the weight throw, shot put, and the hammer throw. Weeks is USATF Level 1 certified and is certified through the
USTFCCCA.
Still competing in the discus throw, Weeks looks to qualify for the US National Championship. Weeks is working towards a graduate degree here at Merrimack College in Exercise and Sports Science with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning.
