NORTH ANDOVER, MA – The Merrimack field hockey Warriors (10-6, 5-2 NE-10) won their second straight game by a score of 1-0 over Saint Michael's College on Tuesday afternoon at Warrior Field.

The Warriors tenth win of the year sets a new program record for wins in a season. In 2005 and 2006, Merrimack tallied nine wins, but had not previously broken double digits in the win column until this fall.

Reigning Division II Freshman of the Week, Jen Otis (Penacook, NH) scored the game's lone goal and now leads the team with 13 scores on the year. She was fed by senior captain Jaclyn Germano (Westwood, MA) in the 56th minute for the eventual game-winner.

Freshman Kerri Bergquist (Mashpee, MA) posted her third shut-out of the year with 10 saves on the afternoon, including a Molly DiMasi penalty stroke.

Junior Ashley Nadeau (Canton, MA) also contributed to the shut-out with two defensive saves in a game the Warriors were at a 14-7 disadvantage in the penalty corner department.

The Warriors end their regular season home schedule on Sunday, October 18 versus Adelphi University at 1:00pm. Seniors Germano, Kelly Pasquantonio (Planville, MA), Katelin Gisonno (Georgetown, MA), Krista Gordon (Wakefield, MA) and Allison Doliner (Norwood, MA) will be recognized on Senior Day against Adelphi during homecoming weekend at Merrimack College.
