#8 Field Hockey Downed by #3 Stonehill
EASTON, MA - Snapping a three-game win streak, the #8 Merrimack
field hockey Warriors were shut out at #3 Stonehill College on
Wednesday evening, 1-0.
Blanked for the first time this season, the Warriors fell to
11-7 overall and 6-3 in the conference, putting them in a tie with
Adelphi who they currently hold the tie-break over.
Freshman Kerri Bergquist (Mashpee, MA) posted
her ninth double-digit save total this season with 11, six of which
came in the second half.
Senior Katelin Gisonno (Georgetown, MA) held up
the Warrior defense with a defensive save while Merrimack
surrendered a single goal in the early moments of the second half.
The Warriors conclude the regular season at Saint Anselm on
Saturday, October 24 at 12:00pm in Manchester, New Hampshire.
