Women's Soccer Takes Down #23 UMass-Lowell, 1-0
NORTH ANDOVER, MA - In the season finale, the Merrimack women's
soccer Warriors took down the River Hawks of UMass-Lowell 1-0 to
advance to the Northeast-10 Conference quarterfinals as the
four-seed.
In the win, sophomore Khara Roman (Orange, CT)
scored the lone goal on a cross from senior captain
Gabrielle Gramprey (Brockton, MA) in the
66th minute of play.
Despite being out-shot 20-6, the Warriors withstood the barrage
as senior captain Brittany Gustafson (East Hampton,
CT) stopped eight shots, four in each half.
As the four-seed, the Warriors will host either Stonehill
College or Adelphi University on Sunday, November 1 on Warrior
Field.
