Winning the last game of the 2009 portion of their schedule, the Warriors scored a season-high 87 points in a game all nine players that played for Merrimack scored.

"It was great to see us regroup and end 2009 on a positive note," Head Coach Helen Williams said following her Warriors' snapping of a two-game skid.  "The holiday break will be good for us to get some much needed rest for the upcoming [Northeast-10] Conference schedule."

Leading five Warriors in double figures was freshman Katie Ganser (Needham, MA) and her team-high 16 points.  Sophomore Genn Roy (Granby, MA) also notched a team-high 16 in the Warriors final game of their 2009 schedule.

Less than five minutes into the game, Ganser put Merrimack up 13-3 to give the Warriors a quick head start.  On 49% first half shooting (17-of-35), Merrimack lead by as much as 19 when senior captain Casey Miller (Fairbanks, AK) scored two of her 11 points on a fast break following one of her three steals with 12 seconds to play in the first half.

In the second half, the Warriors would steadily build their lead to 26 that was punctuated with a jumper from junior Chelsea Shea (South Burlington, VT).  The Warriors would turn the ball over 19 times in the game, but winning the rebounding battle, 53-36, Merrimack out-matched Queens on the glass and grabbed their third win of the year.

Freshman Kelly Schatzlein (Tolland, CT) also chipped in 10 points to help Merrimack dominate scoring in the paint with a 34-16 advantage.
