Women's Tennis Falls At Le Moyne, 5-4
SYRACUSE, NY – Narrowly dropping their first match of the
season, the Merrimack women's tennis Warriors (0-1) fell at
the hands of the Dolphins Saturday afternoon amid the rain
drops.
Junior Amanda Carroll (Tewksbury, MA) was the
lone Warrior to tally wins in both singles (6-2, 6-3) and doubles
(9-8) play. She teamed with sophomore Kylie
Waddington (South Glastonbury, CT) for the doubles win in
the team's first conference match-up.
Graduate student Allison Lydon and senior
Cristina Lucin (Wesley Chapel, FL) each captured
singles victories, 5-7, 6-7 (10-6) and 6-2, 6-2, respectively.
The women return to action at North Andover High School for a de
facto home match versus Holy Family on Sunday, September 13 at
