Field Hockey Runs Away From AIC
NORTH ANDOVER, MA – In the Merrimack field hockey
Warriors' home-opener, senior captain Jaclyn
Germano (Westwood, MA) buried two first half goals to lead
Merrimack over American International, 5-0.
Freshman Kerri Bergquist (Mashpee, MA) posted her
first career shut-out victory in her fourth career start making six
saves.
Freshman Katie Zubkus (Dover, NH) notched her
second goal of the season to stretch the lead to three late in the
first half while freshmen April Daugherty
(Lincoln, RI), Jill Boyce (Sanford, ME), and
Jen Otis (Penacook, NH) accounted for the final
three goals.
Merrimack returns to action at home on Tuesday, September 8 at 4:00
against Franklin Pierce as part of their three-game home stand.
