Daugherty Dons NE-10 Freshman of the Week
NORTH ANDOVER, MA – First-year Merrimack field hockey
player, April Daugherty (Lincoln, RI) earned
Northeast-10 Conference Freshman of the Week honors on Monday for
her part in a 6-0 win over American International College.
Daugherty tallied her first and second collegiate goals versus
American International, while adding two helpers, including the
eventual game-winner to senior captain Jaclyn
Germano (Westwood, MA).
With the win, the Warriors recorded their first of the year and
most goals scored since October 18, 2004 when Head Coach
Anne Rounce poured in a pair of goals against
Worcester Polytechnic Institute as a sophomore Warrior.
Merrimack takes on Franklin Pierce University today at 4:00pm to
open their Northeast-10 Conference schedule.
