No. 18 Women's Soccer Stymied by Le Moyne

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass.- The No. 18 Merrimack women's soccer team fell to Le Moyne 1-0 Sunday afternoon at Warrior Field. The Warriors sink to 8-3-2 overall and 8-2-1 in the Northeast-10 Conference. The Dolphins improved to 5-4-2 on the year and 3-4-2 in the league with the win.

Lindsey deMont (Littleton, Mass.) kept the match to a 0-0 score by clearing a Le Moyne header off of the goal line just minutes into the second half.

Le Moyne took a hold of the game's first lead as Jennifer Fabian latched onto a cross from Christie Morano.

Merrimack sought the equalizer but could not find the back of the net. The Warriors outshot the Dolphins, 19-9, in the contest. Le Moyne managed to fire five shots on frame while Merrimack registered two. Ashley Alnwick (Groton, Mass.) paced the home team with three shots in the game, including both of Merrimack's shots on goal.

Kiley Horne (Scituate, Mass.) made three saves on the day for the Warriors. Felicia Tynan turned aside two shots in the match for the Dolphins.

The Warriors held the advantage in corner kicks, earning nine compared to four for Le Moyne.
