Women's Cross Country Places 35th at New England Championships
BOSTON, MA – The Merrimack women's cross country
team placed 35th at the New England Championships
Saturday afternoon at Franklin Park, competing against schools from
Division I, II and III across New England.
For the third straight race, Briana Devereaux
(Londonderry, NH) led the way for the Warriors finishing
186th overall in 20:12, 32 seconds faster than her last
race at the Codfish Bowl.
Rebecca Ainscow (Derry, NH), Anne Bajor (Methuen, MA),
Ashley Sarris (Shelton, CT) Caitlin Kasala-Halinan (Worcester,
MA) rounded out the top-five runners for Merrimack, who
totaled a time of 1:43:03.
Boston College captured the meet, with Stonehill finishing tops
among Northeast-10 schools in 24th place. Merrimack was
sixth among Northeast-10 schools.
Merrimack hosts its annual Alumni Meet next Saturday.
