Softball Dropped by Wayne State 4-0 in Rainy Florida
CLERMONT, FL – On a rainy day at the National Training
Center, the Merrimack College team snuck in a game against Wayne
State College in the morning, but had their afternoon game with
Post University cancelled due to inclement weather. Against
Wayne State, Merrimack lost by a score of 4-0.
Junior Jamie Millett
(Hudson, MA) batted two of Merrimack's three hits on
the day and also stole her second base of the year.
Sophomore pitcher Alex Gallant (Salem,
NH) got the start for Merrimack and dropped to 1-2 on the
year after allowing three runs on four hits.
The Warriors return to action on Friday against #24 Kutztown
University (10-6) and Grand Valley State University (5-5) at 1:30pm
and 5:30pm, respectively. Earlier in the week, Merrimack fell
to Kutztown, 3-1.
