NORTH ANDOVER, MA- Junior April Daugherty (Wakefield, RI) of the #4 Merrimack field hockey team has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week and classmate Kerri Bergquist (Mashpee, MA) was tabbed the Goalie of the Week, in an announcement made Tuesday afternoon by the league office.

This marks the second-straight week that Daugherty has garnered Player of the Week accolades. Bergquist was recognized by the conference as the week's top goalkeeper for the fourth time this season.

Daugherty became the first player in program history to amass 100 career points. The co-captain eclipsed the century mark in the Warriors' 2-1 overtime-victory at American International October 15.

In Merrimack's 6-0 midweek-win over Saint Michael's October 12 Daugherty notched four goals and added an assist.

Daugherty is now the program record holder with 100 career points and 36 career goals. She also owns the single-season marks with 18 goals and 42 points.

Bergquist registered her 35th and 36th career victories on the week to improve to 14-1 between the pipes. She claimed her eighth shutout of the season and 15th of her career, setting a new school-record.

Bergquist made four stops in Merrimack's 6-0 victory over the Purple Knights. The junior goalie turned aside 10 shots in the Warriors' 2-1 overtime win at American International.

Merrimack moved up to #4 in the NFHCA National Poll and is sporting a 14-1 overall record. The Warriors are 8-0 in the Northeast-10 Conference and are tied for first-place with UMass Lowell.

Merrimack will look to clinch a share of its first-ever Northeast-10 Conference regular season title as it hosts #5 UMass Lowell at Martone-Mejail Field tonight.
