Peacock Earns Third Northeast-10 Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week Nod

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – Senior Jessica Peacock (Hopedale, MA) of the #14 Merrimack women's soccer team was named the Northeast-10 Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season, in an announcement made Tuesday afternoon by the league office.

Peacock netted the game-winning goal in the Warriors 2-0 victory over Stonehill. The co-captain blasted in a free kick from 39 yards out in the first half for her third tally of the fall. She also anchored Merrimack's backline in the contest to help the team register its fourth-straight shutout.

Peacock on the Warriors finished the regular season with a 14-2-1 overall record and an 11-2-1 mark in conference matches.

Merrimack claimed the second-seed in the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament for the second-consecutive year. The Warriors will host Pace, the seventh-seed in the tournament, in the quarterfinals at Martone-Mejail Field November 1 at 7 pm.
