Men's Track Competes at Solomon Invitational
DEDHAM, MA – Ten Warriors qualified for the Northeast-10 Championships Saturday at the Solomon Invitational hosted by Northeastern University.
Leading the way was Harry Mullin (West Hartford, CT), who captured the 3000 meter steeplechase in 10:11.07, posting the fifth-best time in the conference of the spring.
Also qualifying was Peter Early (Ward Hill, MA) in the 100 meters with a time of 11.69, while Brendan Mormile (West Haven, CT) qualified in the 800 meters in 2:06.75.
Steve Pascucci and John Lawrence (Peabody, MA) both recorded qualifying times in the 1500 meters, as did freshmen Nick Novaris (Plaistow, NH) and Myles Dechane (Danville, NH) in the 5000 meters.
Rounding out the qualifiers were John Doherty (Chelmsford, MA) and Pat Lawlor (Haverhill, MA) in the 10,000 meters as Doherty finished ninth and Lawlor was 11th.
"Both teams continue to improve every week," said head coach Matt Pimentel. "Everyone on the men's side run a season-best time."
Merrimack will compete in the Tufts Invitational next Saturday.
