NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Senior Olof Lindhe (Stockholm, Sweden) scored the game's only goal in the 33rd minute, as the No. 25 Merrimack men's soccer team ran up its unbeaten streak nine straight games, as the Warriors downed Bentley, 1-0, in Northeast-10 Conference action on Saturday afternoon in Waltham, Mass.

By virtue of the victory, the Warriors improve to 10-2-2 on the season and rise to 8-2-1 in NE-10 action. The Falcons, meanwhile, fall to 8-4-2 and 6-3-2 in league play.

Scoreless late in the first half, Lindhe knocked in a rebound after senior forward Franklin Lemus Pena (Revere, Mass.) rang the post on a shot attempt, and that would be all the offense the Warriors would need, as sophomore Jose Silva (Northborough, Mass.) collected his eighth clean sheet of the season to preserve the one-goal lead in the second half.

"This was a very big game for us both within league play and at the regional level," head coach Tony Martone said afterward. "Bentley is a very skilled team that has played much better as of late, so to come in here and get the victory on the road speaks volumes about our team character."

Both Pena and Lindhe led the Warriors with three shot attempts and two on net, while Silva recorded four saves in net compared to his counterpart Alex Pilitsis, who notched three stops.

Merrimack and Bentley combined for seven shot attempts each, while the Falcons owned a slim 3-2 edge in corner kicks. Both sides combined for 26 fouls and a yellow card apiece over the course of the game, as well.

Next up, Merrimack closes out the regular season with two straight home contests, starting with a conference tilt on Tuesday, Oct. 23. First whistle at Martone-Mejail Field is set for 7 p.m.
