Casey Cotter Collects Northeast-10 Player of the Week Honors
SOUTH EASTON, MA- Junior Casey Cotter (North Hampton, NH) of the Merrimack baseball team has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week, in an announcement made Monday afternoon by the league office.
Cotter paced the Warriors in a 4-1 week with a 10-for-19 showing at the plate. Cotter drove in four runs and scored seven runs in the five-game set. He also swiped three bases on the week while owning an on-base percentage of .571.
The junior leads the squad with 11 RBIs this spring while ranking third with a batting average of .321. He has started all 16 games at shortstop and owns a fielding percentage of .946.
Merrimack owns an overall record of 9-7 and saw its eight-game winning streak snapped on March 18 with a 3-0 loss to Southern Connecticut.
