NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Coming off a 3-0 win against the University New Haven Saturday night on the road, the Merrimack College men's soccer team returns to Martone-Mejail Field to host Saint Anselm College Tuesday night.

The men's soccer team claimed its third victory in a row, when the squad defeated New haven, 3-0 on Saturday night at Kayo Field. Freshman Oscar Zepeda Cagide (Jalisco, Mexico) notched his first collegiate goal here at Merrimack. The Warriors maintained the 1-0 advantage heading into the locker room.
In the 79th minute of play junior Henrique Etges (Venancio Aires, Brazil) quieted the Charger fans with his second goal of the season. In the 89th minute of play, senior Mattias Drummond (Partille, Sweden) found the back of the net for his first goal of the season leading the Warriors to a 3-0 shutout.
Last Season against the Hawks
- Former midfielder Rafael Cabral (Woburn, Mass.) tallied an unassisted strike in the 25th minute to put the Warriors on top, 1-0
- Former senior midfielder Matt McFadden (Manchester, N.H.) took a long pass from the keeper and found the back of the net in the final minute of the second overtime period
- The Warriors held a slim 20-19 edge in shot attempts, while Jose Silva (Northborough, Mass.) recorded seven saves in net to earn his fifth victory of the season.
- Both teams mustered six corner kicks apiece and 25 combined fouls.
