Last Time Out
In the opening minutes of play, Merrimack forward Jenna Zechner (Billerica, Mass.) had the opportunity to put the Warriors ahead but could not find the back of the net against the Golden Knight keeper. Forward Kristen Carr provided all the firepower the Golden Knights would need when she dribbled past two defenders and found the bottom left corner of the net with 16:39 elapsed for what stood up as the game-winner.

The Warriors' defense came out pressuring the Golden Knights in the opening minutes. Golden Knight Sammy Blizzard found Sydney Bond in the middle of the penalty area and Bond deposited her strike inside the right post to give Saint Rose a 2-0 lead over the Warriors.

With the clock slowly winding down, both Merrimack and Saint Rose were not giving up. Zechner had the opportunity to cut the lead in half but her shot was blocked by a Golden Knight defender. Blizzard later closed out the scoring with less than four minutes remaining when her shot sailed over the outstretched arms of Nicole Curtis (Billerica, Mass.).
