No. 17 Merrimack College Men's Soccer Travels to Face Molloy on Tuesday
THE WARRIORS LOOK TO IMPROVE ITS SEASON TO 2-1 OVERALL
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – After posting an electrifying victory at home against Bloomfield College on Saturday night, the No. 17 Merrimack College men's soccer team looks to improve its record to 2-1 when it travels to Molloy College on Tuesday for an afternoon non-conference battle.

Last Time Out
The action picked up quickly in the first half, as the Warriors put loads of pressure on the Deacons' backline. The Warriors controlled possession for much of the half, but could not find the net. The Deacons were unable to put the ball away against keeper Jose Silva (Northborough, Mass.). Going into halftime, both Merrimack and Bloomfield remained scoreless.The Warriors outshot the Deacons 5-4 in the first.
Out of the gate, the Warriors again controlled possession for much of the second half. In the 82nd minute of play, junior Ryan Miller (Holden, Mass.) put the game winning shot into the net after a great pass from Philippe Jean Baptiste (Worcester, Mass). Jose Silva was able to keep the defense ahead for the Warriors making four saves.
Last Season against Molloy
- Brian Clevesy found the back of the net in the 103rd minute, propelling the Merrimack men's soccer team to a 1-0, double-overtime victory over Molloy.
- Jose Silva recorded three saves that game.
- Merrimack outshot Molloy 27-5 and dominated in corner kicks 12-2.
- It was the Warriors second shutout game last season.
The Warriors:
- Outshot Bloomfield by a 9-6 margin on Saturday.
- Silva has six saves on the season with a .857 saves percentage.
- Besides Miller, Julio Leon Garcia contributed two shots against the Deacons.
The Lions:
- Coming off a 1-0 loss to Adelphi University last Thursday.
- The Panthers outshot the Lions 15-11.
- Keepers Dane Leavy and Justin Corke made six saves.
- Hamza Elotmani led the team with three shots and two shots on goal.
