Merrimack Men's Soccer Travels to Northeast-10 Opponent Adelphi on Saturday

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack men's soccer team opens up the Northeast-10 Conference portion of the 2013 season Saturday night. The Warriors travel to Adelphi University to take on the Panthers at Motamed Field. Opening kick is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Last Time Out
Merrimack is coming off a gigantic win against non-conference opponent Molloy College on Tuesday. The Navy and Gold controlled the pace in the first half and outshooting the Lions, 10-5. Junior Michael Buraczynski (Littleton, Mass.) led the team to victory scoring the lone goal in the 24th minute of play. Buraczynski goal came off a corner kick by Francis Mulkern (Scituate, Mass.).
The Warriors kept the lead throughout the remainder of the contest. Even though Molloy led in corner kicks, 6-3, Merrimack's defense stopped the Lions from scoring.
The Warriors:
- Outshot Molloy by a 17-11 margin on Tuesday.
- Jose Silva (Northborough, Mass.) has 10 saves on the season with a .909 saves percentage.
- Douglas Searl (Westford, Mass.) and Julio Leon Garcia (Caracas, Venezuela) led the team with three shots each against the Lions.
- Buracyznski goal was his second collegiate marker and first since the 2012 Northeast-10 Championships.
The Opponent:
- Coming off a 3-2 loss to #8 LIU Post last Saturday.
- Adelphi outshot LIU Post 22-11
- Keepers Sergio Reyes collected two saves for the Panthers.
- Juan Aquiar tallied six shots and two shots on goal.
