Women's Volleyball takes on Molloy College and Nyack on Saturday

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's volleyball team dropped to 0-5 on the regular season after falling to Bentley on Wednesday night. This weekend the Warriors travel to Rockville Centre, N.Y. to face non-conference opponents Molloy College and Nyack College on Saturday. Merrimack takes on Molloy at 11 a.m. and Nyack at 1 p.m.

Last Time Out
In the opening frame, Bentley took set one from Merrimack, 25-13. Merrimack managed to pull within two points before the Falcons closed the door, taking the second set, 25-23.
With the score 11-10 in the third set, the Warriors took a 5-0 run to take a strong lead, taking the third set, 25-21. In the fourth set, the Navy and Gold kept the momentum going defeating Bentley, 26-24.
Bentley opened up set five with an 8-0 and never looked back. The Falcons took set five and the match 15-4.
The Warriors:
- Madison Burke (San Jose, Calif.) leads the Northeast-10 with 91 digs.
- Stephanie Sheehan (Smithtown, N.Y.) leads the Northeast-10 with 63 kills.
- Merrimack held a 56-49 kill advantage over Bentley.
- Tara Stuhr (Huntington Beach, Calif.) recorded her second double-double of her young career with 48 assists and 12 digs
- Sheehan registered her first double-double of the season with 28 kills and 13 digs

- Overall record is 1-3, defeating Bentley College 3-2
- Sophomore Samantha Garza leads the team with 51 kills (3.19 k/set)
- Senior Brianna Kane leads the team with 131 assists (8.19 a/set)
The Opponent: Molloy College
- Junior Sam Berna leads the team with 59 kills (2.81 k/set)
- Freshman Alley Stefanovski leads the team with 93 assists (4.43 a/set)
- Molloy averages 11.1 kills per set and 10.0 assists per set.
