NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Looking to bounce back from a tough, 1-0 shootout loss on the road against Saint Michael's Tuesday afternoon, the Merrimack College men's soccer team play host to the Owls of Southern Connecticut under the lights at Martone-Mejail Field. First whistle is at 7 p.m.

Saint Michael's Anthony Stanley struck for the game's only goal in the 68th minute, sending the Saint Michael's College men's soccer team to a 1-0 upset of defending Northeast-10 Conference regular-season champion.
The Warriors put pressure on the Purple Knight's for the remainder of the half. Merrimack had its best chance when Francis Mulkern (Scituate, Mass.) shot was saved by Saint Michael's goalkeeper Nicco Roque. The Navy and Gold could not score a goal to tie the game, which resulted in its second loss on the year.
Silva tallied five saves in the losing effort for the Warriors, while Andrew Suttle (Northbrook, Ill.) made his first appearance of the season tallying eight minutes in goal
Last Season against the Owls
- Defeated Southern Connecticut in double overtime, 2-1
- Senior back Olof Lindhe (Stockholm, Sweden) headed home the game-clinching goal in the 108th minute on a feed from fellow defender Julio Leon Garcia (Caracas, Venezuela)
- Southern Conn. held a 25-19 shot advantage over Merrimack.
- Leon Garcia scored the tying goal for Merrimack in the 80th minute
- Merrimack took seven corner kicks.
The Warriors:
- Merrimack ranks fourth in the Northeast-10 with nine goals and six assists
- Silva ranks fifth in the Northeast-10 with 26 saves, just one save under Saint Anselm's goalkeeper.
- Michael Buraczynski (Littleton, Mass.), Douglas Searl (Westford, Mass.), and Augusto Silva (Hudson, Mass.) lead the team with two goal apiece.
The Opponent:
- Coming off a 1-0 overtime victory over Saint Rose.
- Keeper Stephen Sasso leads the Northeast-10 with a .905 saves percentage.
- The Owls rank seventh in the Northeast-10 with four goals.
- Kevin Hoslyn leads the team with two goals and four points.
