Women's Tennis Blanks Assumption, 9-0
WARRIORS REMAIN UNDEFEATED IN CONFERENCE PLAY
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's tennis team picked up their third conference victory of the season on Sunday as they defeated Assumption College by the score of 9-0.

How It Happened
Merrimack claimed all three doubles matches to lead 3-0 at the midway point. The Warriors' top pair Grace Messina (Caracas, Venezuela) and Shakee Messina (Caracas, Venezuela) repvailed 8-1. Kara Hole (Portsmouth, R.I.) and Chealsey Giatrelis earned a 8-1 victory over Hall and Waung. Rachel Muller (North Andover, Mass.) and Alyx Barnes (Portsmouth, N.H.) captured an 8-5 win at the third slot.
Grace Messina earned a 6-0, 6-3 victory at the No. 1 slot. Shakee and Chealsey also picked up victories on Sunday by the score of 6-0, 6-1 and 6-1, 6-4 respectively. In the no. 5 singles slot, Muller earned a 8-3 victory. Barnes defeated McCauley by a score of 8-4.
