NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – After coming off a tough-luck loss against the Dominican in the first round of the Marriott Kickoff Classic, the No. 17 Merrimack College men's soccer teams look for a rebound win against Bloomfield College.

In the first half, it was a struggle for the Warriors to bypass the Chargers defense to get a good shot on net. The Warriors were held to only two shots attempts in the half by Joseph Briers (Lincolnshire, United Kingdom) and Julio Leon Garcia (Caracas, Venezuela).
Merrimack's offense started to come together in the second half after a shot from Ronald Ried (Schwendi, Germany), but the Warriors' defense could not stop Matheus Sousa from scoring the in 86th minute on senior keeper Jose Silva (Northborough, Mass.). The keeper played all 90 minutes in the net and collected two saves.

- Dropped the opening game of the tournament, 3-0, to AIC
- Fell behind by two goals 72 second in the first half before the Yellow Jackets added an insurance tally in the 77th minute
- Totaled six shots against the Yellow Jackets, with two on target
