SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The No. 17 Merrimack College men's soccer team nearly left New York with a well-deserved draw, but Le Moyne scored with less than three minutes remaining to defeat the Warriors.

How It Happened
This contest began with significant implications in the Northeast-10, as both teams sat in the top-six in the conference.

The first 45 minutes of the game went by with neither team scoring. Merrimack had a slight, 5-4, edge in shots entering the halftime break.

In the second-half, the physicality of the contest increased. Thirty-four combined fouls were called between the Warriors and Dolphins. Nine cards were handed out to both squads, including red cards to Zachary MacNabb of Le Moyne and senior Michael Buraczynski (Littleton, Mass.) of Merrimack.

Senior goalkeeper Jose Silva (Northborough, Mass.) kept the Navy and Gold in the contest, making five second-half saves.

The first overtime session went by scoreless, but the Dolphins scored the game-winning tally in the second extra session.

Trevor Creedon headed in his second goal of the season to win the game for Le Moyne. Jacob Borseen was credited with the lone helper.
