NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College men's tennis team beat the Le Moyne Dolphins, 6-3, as part of their fall schedule earlier today at North Andover High School.

Head coach Aaron Bergeron: "The men came out today tough and willing to battle. I was impressed with the leadership shown by senior captain Vince Bellino, and the fight we saw in freshman Tommy O'Brien. They both were doubles winners for us today."
How It Happened
The Warriors displayed balance across their roster in a victory over Le Moyne.
In the doubles portion of the match, Merrimack went 2-1 with victories at No. 1 and No. 3. Miguel Belfort (Caracas, Venezuela) and Vince Bellino (Amesbury, Mass.) won the first doubles match, 8-5. Tayyab Sheikh (Longmeadow, Mass.) and Thomas O'Brien (Lancaster, Pa.) wrapped up doubles play by winning 8-3.
In singles play, Bellino and O'Brien won at No.2 and No. 6 singles, respectively. Mikhail Belov (Krasnoarmeyskoy, Russia) took his match, 6-1 and 6-2. Sophomore Nick Majewski (Brewster, Mass.) won at No. 5, 7-6 (5) and 6-1.
