NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's volleyball team plays its second of three home matches in the month of October tonight at 7 p.m. vs. Franklin Pierce.

The Warriors defeated Southern New Hampshire, 3-2, in a five-set match played in Manchester.
Merrimack won the first two sets and were victorious in a back-and-forth fifth set to take the match from the Penmen.
Senior Stephanie Sheehan (Smithtown, N.Y.) tallied a match-high 19 kills, and was one of three Warriors to finish with double-digit digs (18). Sophomore Tara Stuhr (Huntington Beach, Calif.) nearly recorded a triple-double with 37 assists, 14 digs and seven kills.
Last Season vs. Franklin Pierce:
The Navy and Gold lost a five-set match played a year ago up in Rindge, N.H.
Jocelyn McLain (Fort Collins, Colo.) tallied a team-high 13 kills. Madison Burke (San Jose, Calif.) finished with a team-high 22 digs.
The Ravens:
- Franklin Pierce currently sits in fifth in the Northeast-10 standings, two spots ahead of Merrimack
- Catie Swiderski has been the top offensive threat for the Ravens, averaging over three kills per set
- Junior libero Sarah Machugh ranks fourth in the conference with 4.79 digs per set
