What They Said
Head Coach Anne Rounce: "Solid team win tonight, and more importantly I was glad to get almost everyone involved. We will need to bring the same intensity level for another challenging test back at home against a strong Saint Anselm team on Wednesday."

 How It Happened
Posting back-to-back wins for the first time since ripping off four straight earlier in September, the Warriors blasted out of the gate with four goals in the first half and continued to blitz the Owls with three in the span of as many minutes early in the second half to cruise to victory.

Bradley got the rout going with a goal off a penalty corner at 6:08 by tipping in a blast from freshman Taylor Simpson (York, Maine), and fellow rookie Rylee Hammond (Phillipston, Mass.) also tallied a helper on the play.

Later in the first, junior Sydney Bowker (Schenectady, N.Y.) doubled the lead with her fifth marker of the year off a feed from Bradley, burying a bullet into the lower-left corner of the cage.

Five minutes later, Bradley found the black again on a center passing from classmate Elizabeth Egan (South Dennis, Mass.) at 24:17, and just more than two minutes later, junior Lindsay Dobecki (Scarborough, Maine) rounded out the first-half scoring by one-timing a centering pass from sophomore Hannah Magerman (Franklin, Mass.) into the cage to give the visitors a 4-0 advantage at the break.

Merrimack only got hotter in the second half with early tallies from senior Katie Bishop (Conway, N.H.), Simpson (42'), Bradley (43') within a span of just under three minutes, and that was more than enough for junior Madison Davis (San Jose, Calif.), who posted her fourth clean sheet of the year thanks to a 10-save effort.

Inside The Numbers

  • Merrimack finished with a 28-15 edge in shot attempts, with Bradley's five on net leading all players
  • In total, eight different Warriors registered a point on Saturday with Bradley and Simpson tallying the only multi-point efforts
  • Penalty corners wound up even on the night at 14 apiece
  • Opposite of Davis, Audrey Dolloff turned away 12 shots for the Owls

Merrimack welcomes Saint Anselm next Wednesday (Oct. 29) afternoon for a 4:30 p.m. league showdown at Martone-Mejail Field.
