How It Happened
Merrimack entered its NE-10 Championship rematch with New Haven flying high as the Warriors had won seven consecutive matches for the first time since 2010.

In the second set, the Navy and Gold began to get some momentum. Merrimack got out to a 8-5 lead, but New Haven began to get back into the set. Trailing 22-15, the Warriors fought back to make it a two-point deficit at 24-22, but the Chargers put them away, 25-22.

The third set was more of the same. UNH led 23-14, but a Merrimack 5-0 spurt brought the set within striking distance at 23-18. Unfortunately for the Warriors, the Chargers were able to record the two points they needed, taking the set 25-18.
