NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's volleyball team lost its second straight match, 3-2, to the Bentley University Falcons down in Waltham, Mass.

How It Happened
Tuesday night did not begin well for the Warriors as before they knew it, Merrimack was facing a 2-0 deficit. They lost the first two sets 25-17 and 25-19.
After that, the Navy and Gold began to fight back. They won the next two sets 25-12 and 25-18 to force a decisive fifth frame. That final set belonged to the Falcons, as Bentley took the set and the match 15-5.
Senior Corrine Gosselin (Lawrence, Mass.) finished with 13 kills on only two errors and 19 total attacks for a .579 hitting percentage. Fellow senior Stephanie Sheehan (Smithtown, N.Y.) finished with a team-high 19 kills.
Sophomore setter Tara Stuhr (Huntington Beach, Calif.) compiled 49 assists and 10 digs for a double-double. Junior libero Madison Burke (San Jose, Calif.) notched a match-high 26 digs.
Inside The Numbers
- Gosselin's 13 kills were a season-high. It's the third time this season that she has finished with double-digit kills
- With her 13th dig of the night, Burke went over 200 total digs for the season. Sheehan also registered her 200th kill
- Merrimack struggled as a team with their hitting percentage, especially in the first and final sets. The first set saw the Warriors finish with a -.077 percentage and a -.227 percentage in the fifth set

The Warriors are next in action on Saturday as they'll face Southern New Hampshire University at 1 p.m. in Manchester.
